• Enquiries. When you fill in our contact form, call, email or message us on WhatsApp, we collect the details you give us. That is usually your name, phone number, email address, the service you need and your message.
• Customer details. If you book a job, we also keep your property address, details of the work, quotes, invoices and any certificates we issue, such as gas safety records.
• Newsletter sign ups. If you subscribe on the website, we keep your email address.
• Website usage. With your consent, we collect anonymous statistics about how the site is used, such as pages viewed, the type of device and the approximate town you are browsing from.

We do not ask for payment card details through this website.

3. How we use it and our lawful basis

• To reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and arrange a visit. Lawful basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
• To carry out the work, invoice you and deal with guarantees or follow up visits. Lawful basis: performance of a contract.
• To keep the records we are required to keep, including tax and gas safety records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
• To send updates you have subscribed to. Lawful basis: consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To understand how the website is used and improve it. Lawful basis: consent, given through our cookie banner.
• To keep the website secure and prevent spam. Lawful basis: legitimate interests.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision making.

4. Who we share it with

We only share information with companies that help us run the business and this website, and only as far as they need it:

• Our website hosting provider, which stores the website and the enquiries sent through it.
• Google, for website statistics (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager), spam protection on our form (reCAPTCHA), maps and fonts.
• Ahrefs, for privacy friendly website statistics that do not use cookies.
• Trustindex, which displays our Google reviews on the site.
• WhatsApp, if you choose to message us that way.
• Our email provider and, where relevant, our accountant.

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where that happens, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law. We may also share information where the law requires us to.

5. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not lead to a job: up to 12 months.
• Customer and job records, including invoices: up to 6 years after the work, in line with tax rules.
• Gas safety and similar records: for as long as regulations require.
• Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe.

6. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies. Essential cookies make the website work. Statistics cookies are only used if you accept them in our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• ask us to correct anything that is wrong
• ask us to delete your information, where we have no legal reason to keep it
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it

• ask for your information in a format you can take elsewhere
